The Greenwich Rotary Club
The Rotary Club of Greenwich was chartered in April 21, 1921.  Since that time, Greenwich Rotarians have been volunteering their time and resources to help others in the Greenwich community and throughout the world.  The Greenwich Club has been a leader at the local and international level, even sponsoring the chartering of neighboring Rotary Clubs.

Today's Club is comprised of a vibrant group of men and women leaders in the Greenwich Community.  The membership actively supports a variety of Vocational, Educational, Community and International Projects remaining committed to Rotary's tradition of "Service Above Self."
In Greenwich, children are being tutored after school, because we help sponsor The Reading Champions Program. People seeking a second chance at life by having a better job are able to do so because Greenwich Rotary is a major supporter of The RITE Program (Reaching independence Through Employment) sponsored by Family Centers. Mothers seeking a good preschool program for their children who cannot afford such a program, enroll their children in the Head Start program sponsored by Family Centers and financially supported by Greenwich Rotary. Mothers are able to feed their children and dress them for school, because we generously support Neighbor to Neighbor. Greenwich Rotary supports Kids in Crisis both financially and by preparing a meal once a month. Each year during the Christmas Holiday time, Greenwich Rotarians support Family Centers Holiday Gift drive by purchasing numerous clothes and toys from a list supplied from the agency. An auction at a December meeting and at our annual Holiday Party supports Neighbor to Neighbor,
On an International level, Girls in Endupoto, Tanzania attend school because there is one supported by Greenwich Rotary, with books, school supplies, toilet facilities necessary for their hygiene and education of the teachers. Children who play in fields in areas of the world ,where land mines were sown, are not crippled because dogs trained by CHAMPS sniff out the mines. Greenwich Rotary supports CHAMPS as well as Heart Care International and Polio Plus, the Rotary International effort to erase Polio from the earth!
